Learning in Teams and Learning in Context.

In the Simon Builders Apprenticeship Program, students don’t just learn about building—they build. Through a two-period block class, they gain real-world experience working in teams to plan, problem-solve, and evaluate their craftsmanship against industry standards. Each year, students construct an 8-by-20-foot tiny house that passes professional inspection and can be legally sold and lived in once completed.

Students successfully completing the Simon Builders General Construction Course their Junior year, then qualify to apply for a state and federally approved Youth Apprenticeship Program.
